What the Official AiGC List Shows
AiGC publishes the player-facing directory of regulated iGaming websites in Alberta. On October 7, 2026, the AiGC registered iGaming sites page listed 35 sites. BetMGM appears as a single entry:
| Entry on the AiGC list | Web address the AiGC “Visit” button links to |
|---|---|
| BetMGM Sportsbook & Casino | www.betmgm.ca |
Lists change as operators are added or leave, so confirm on the official AiGC page before you sign up. Being on the list means a site is part of Alberta’s regulated market. It is not a recommendation from us or from AiGC.
How to Make Sure You’re on the Right BetMGM Site
BetMGM runs separate products for different provinces. Ontario’s official directory, for example, links to separate BetMGM casino, poker and sportsbook sites for Ontario. A few simple checks for Alberta:
- Start from the official list. Open the AiGC registered sites page and use its “Visit” link, rather than a search ad or a link from a forum or social post.
- Check the web address. AiGC’s link for BetMGM goes to www.betmgm.ca. The iGaming Ontario directory links to addresses containing “on.betmgm.ca”, which are for players located in Ontario.
- Look for the AiGC logo. AiGC’s FAQ says to look for the official AiGC logo and the RGC (Responsible Gambling Council) seal at the top or bottom of the site’s homepage.
- Expect a location check. AiGC says provincial regulations require you to be physically located within Alberta’s borders to log in or place bets with regulated operators.
What Being on Alberta’s List Means for Players
Centralized self-exclusion
AGLC says operators must integrate its Self-Exclusion Program into their platforms to comply with provincial legislation. The program lets you exclude from all registered iGaming, from land-based casinos and racing entertainment centres, or from both. You can start at selfexclusion.ca.
Payments
According to AiGC’s FAQ, approved operators in Alberta are not permitted to accept cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. Approved operators accept major credit cards for deposits, but AiGC suggests checking with your bank, because some card issuers treat gambling transactions as cash advances with extra fees. AiGC also says neither it nor approved operators charge deposit fees, though your bank may. For Interac, see our Interac casino payments guide.
Complaints
Start with the operator’s customer support. AiGC’s FAQ says that if the operator’s customer service team cannot resolve your issue within 72 hours, you can submit a formal dispute to AiGC for independent review. Sites that are not in the AiGC directory are outside this process.
Taxes
AiGC’s FAQ states that the Canada Revenue Agency does not tax recreational gaming winnings. If gambling is part of a business, the rules can differ, so check with the CRA or a tax professional.
Bonuses and promotions
We don’t list bonus offers. If you see an offer, read the full terms on the operator’s own site, including wagering requirements and time limits. A bonus never guarantees a win.

A brand being legal in one province does not make every version of its site legal in another. Each province keeps its own list. For Ontario, see our BetMGM Ontario guide and the iGaming Ontario Operator Tracker. Ontario players should use operators registered with the AGCO and operating through iGaming Ontario.
